The Shelburne Curling Centre is in the historical town of Shelburne, located on the South Shore of Nova Scotia, two hours from Halifax. Shelburne boasts one of the finest harbours in the world and some of the friendliest people in Nova Scotia.
Shelburne’s curling history began at CFS Shelburne in the fall of 1973. Following the closing of CFS Shelburne, the local community recognized that if curling was to continue, then we needed to build a new facility in the town of Shelburne. In 2000, after great support from our community and a group of dedicated, enthusiastic citizens, our new facility was opened. We are adjacent to the Shelburne County Arena, on Shelburne County Exhibition grounds.
We feature three sheets of ice and are very proud of the conditions of our ice, as well as the comfort within our ice shed. The TLC Pharmasave Lounge is comfortable and welcoming, our bar service is excellent and we have a lovely kitchen.
Over the past years, we have hosted numerous NS Curling association events; our most recent being the Provincial Masters in 2018. Our own Team Shelburne (Hicks) won the Provincial title and represented Nova Scotia at the Nationals in Vancouver. No matter what the event is, we are always complimented on our ice conditions as well as our hospitality.
Our membership rates are fair and there is lots of opportunity to curl. We feature a very competitive Men’s league, a Ladies league, a Mixed league as well as Open/Seniors sessions two mornings a week. We welcome you to visit our curling centre and experience some great curling
